CORPORATE SOCIAL INVESTMENT

We are aware that we have a responsibility to our communities, in particular those who were previously disadvantaged. To this end we have “adopted” Tembisa Self Help Association for the Disabled (T-SHAD) as both a shareholder and beneficiary for our corporate social responsibility programme.    

EMPLOYMENT EQUITY

With the introduction of government legislation pertaining to correcting the imbalances of the past, in particular the Employment Equity Act, we have, together with our skills and equity committee introduced a system to address this issue. We constantly strive for PDI advancement and promotion from within our workforce, and have already begun to reap the fruits of this initiative, as evident by the fact that most of our middle management comprises previously disadvantaged staff.
